Using DetailEdit Form Section instead of custom fields gives you some very significant advantages. While custom fields always offer only free text or date as field format, in forms you can use multiple field types, for example dropdown or currency fields. This makes it possible to generate much better filters and massively increase data quality, as spelling errors are avoided.
