When syncing between Mailchimp and Daylite, Marketing&Chat checks whether a contact is already in Daylite based on a combination of first name, last name and email address.
These are the possible scenarios:
Someone who’s already in your Daylite database subscribes to your newsletter and uses the same email address as already available in Daylite and you subsequently sync with Mailchimp, Marketing&Chat will recognize this contact and just update the existing contact in the Daylite database.
Someone who’s already in your Daylite database subscribes to your newsletter and uses a different email address than already available in Daylite and you subsequently sync with Mailchimp, Marketing&Chat will NOT recognize this person as an existing contact and therefore create a new, duplicate record.
To find and combine duplicates in Daylite, please use the Find Duplicate Contacts in the Daylite “Edit” menu.
