The newsletter service Mailchimp is based on email addresses. This means that each contact only has one email address in Mailchimp. As soon as a contact has not received a mailing from Mailchimp 7 times, for example because the inbox is too full or if the email address no longer exists, this email address is automatically set to cleaned. These contacts can no longer be updated or contacted from Mailchimp and will be moved to the Errors subgroup during the next synchronization. An error message is displayed for these email addresses during each synchronization in Daylite. This message does not prevent the synchronization of the other contacts, but only warns you that these contacts can no longer be synchronized. You can prevent the message or reactivate the contact in Mailchimp in one of the 2 following ways:
- If you delete the affected email address of the contact in Daylite, the contact will automatically be removed from the Mailchimp group in Daylite during the next synchronization and will no longer cause an error message. In addition, the connection to the email address in Mailchimp will be disconnected and the contact will be archived in Mailchimp.
- Alternatively, you can replace the primary email address in Daylite with a new valid email address. In this case, a new contact with the new email address will be created in Mailchimp during the next synchronization and linked to the contact in Daylite. The link to the cleaned contact will be removed and the contact will be archived in Mailchimp.
