The newsletter service Mailchimp is based on email addresses. This means that each contact only has one email address in Mailchimp. As soon as a contact in Mailchimp unsubscribes from one of your audiences, this contact in Mailchimp is set to unsubscribed in this audience. These contacts can no longer be contacted from Mailchimp and will be moved to the Unsubscribed subgroup during the next synchronization. With every synchronization in Daylite, an error message for this email address is displayed in the sync log. This message does not prevent the synchronization of the other contacts, but simply warns you that this contact can no longer be synchronized. You can prevent the message in one of the following 2 ways or set the contact back to subscribed in Mailchimp:
- If you delete the affected email address of the contact in Daylite, it will automatically be removed from the Mailchimp group during the next synchronization and will no longer cause an error message. The connection to the contact in Mailchimp will also be removed. The affected contact will be archived in Mailchimp.
- Alternatively, you can replace the primary email address in Daylite with a new valid email address. In this case, the connection to the contact with the unsubscribed email address will be removed during the next synchronization and a new contact with the new email address will be created.
