The Daylite app Web&Map allows you to search for information about your contacts via a context-sensitive browser integrated in Daylite. Quickly find information about your contacts on social networking sites such as XING or Facebook. You can also determine the right train connection for your next customer visit directly in Daylite.
In addition to this, you can use Web&Map to perform geo-coordinate based searches. For example, you can perform a vicinity search for a selected contact that shows you other nearby Daylite contacts. Or you can display the locations of a selection of Daylite contacts on a map to obtain information about their geographical distribution.
For the integrated web browser, you can define which web services shall be available for the search. The following tutorial explains how to do this.
To use the map functionality, your contacts need to be geocoded first. This means that the longitude and latitude of the Daylite contact address needs to be determined and saved with the contact's data set. This tutorial will show you how to geocode addresses in Daylite.
The geocoding can also be carried out automatically in the background. How to enable this feature is explained in this tutorial.
