What is the ChatMate for WhatsApp integration in Daylite?

ChatMate Pro for WhatsApp is a messaging app for macOS that enables integration with external applications — unlike WhatsApp Web. In collaboration with the developer, a direct connection between ChatMate Pro and Daylite has been established. Using the plugin Marketing&Chat, you can create and link contacts, transfer conversations and files to Daylite, and jump directly from ChatMate Pro to a contact in Daylite.

Requirements

To use ChatMate Pro for WhatsApp with Daylite, the following requirements must be met:

1. ChatMate Pro requires at least macOS 13 Ventura. Make sure your Mac meets this minimum requirement.
2. To use ChatMate Pro, a smartphone with WhatsApp support is required. Stand-alone use of ChatMate Pro without a connected smartphone is not possible.
3. Download ChatMate Pro for WhatsApp using the direct download link from the manufacturer.
4. An Ultra subscription in ChatMate Pro is required for the Daylite integration, as only this version supports it.
5. Since macOS 15 Sequoia, apps that communicate with other apps or devices in the network require explicit permission. Make sure ChatMate Pro and Daylite have been granted this permission (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network).

Connect WhatsApp with Daylite

In this section you will learn how to connect ChatMate Pro with Daylite. Both ChatMate Pro and Daylite must be open for this step.

Install Marketing&Chat

1. To establish the connection, the Marketing&Chat extension must be installed in Daylite.
2. If you need help installing iOSXpert plugins, a video tutorial is available.

Activate ChatMate Pro in Daylite

1. Open Daylite on your Mac.
2. Select Plugins from the menu bar.

3. Navigate to Marketing&Chat → Preferences → ChatMate Pro for WhatsApp.

   

4. Click on the slider until it turns green to activate the integration.

5. To verify the connection, open ChatMate Pro → Settings → Connections tab. Daylite should be displayed as an external connection.

   

Transfer conversations and files

In this section you will learn how to transfer conversations and files from ChatMate Pro to Daylite. This process allows you to save not only text messages, but also pictures, audio, video files, and locations to Daylite so you can open them later in Apple Maps or Google Maps.

Export conversation

1. Open ChatMate Pro and search for the desired chat participant.
2. Next to the name of the chat participant you will find the Daylite icon. Move the mouse over the icon to see the contextual menu.

3. Select Export conversation from the contextual menu.

   

Select conversation

1. Choose which conversations you want to export to Daylite.

2. Confirm your selection by clicking the button at the bottom right.

   

Check selected files

1. If you have also selected file formats in addition to chat messages, a window will open with a preview of all selected files.
2. Here you can check which files should be transferred to Daylite and deselect them if necessary.

3. Confirm your selection with Import.

   

Add contacts from WhatsApp to Daylite

In this section you will learn how to add or link contacts from ChatMate Pro to Daylite.

Link an existing contact in Daylite

1. Open ChatMate Pro and select a chat participant.
2. If the phone number has not yet been linked to a person or company in Daylite, the Daylite icon to the right of the contact name will be greyed out.

3. Click on the grey icon.

   

4. A window opens in Daylite giving you the option to link the phone number to an existing contact, if Daylite already finds a person or company with the same name.

   

5. Confirm the existing contact with a double-click. The phone number is automatically transferred to the contact.

Create a new contact in Daylite

1. Open ChatMate Pro and select a chat participant whose phone number has not yet been linked (grey Daylite icon).

2. Click on the grey icon. In the window that opens, choose whether to create a new person or a new company in Daylite.

   

3. Select one of the two options with a double-click. A data entry screen opens where Daylite automatically fills in the name and phone number.

   

4. You can now complete and finish the contact.
