Outlook is Microsoft's email and calendar service for managing your email accounts, appointments and contacts – on Mac, on Windows and on iOS. With the iOMailAssistant for Daylite you connect Outlook directly to Daylite: emails, file attachments and meeting invitations can be linked and automatically saved to Daylite in just a few clicks.

How do I set up iOMailAssistant in Outlook?

| Attention: As Microsoft offers many different models and variants, it is possible that the add-in iOMailAssistant for Daylite CRM is not available in your Outlook configuration. Please check the settings in the Microsoft backend or ask the administrator of your Microsoft installation. Unfortunately, we can only offer limited support there, as Microsoft offers a very complex selection of setup options. |
Make sure that the mailbox is synchronized with the Microsoft Cloud.
To set up the iOMailAssistant in Outlook, please proceed as follows:
- Open Outlook
- Navigate to the 3 dots in an email account and select Get Add-ins
- Search for iOMailAssistant for Daylite CRM and open the add-in
- Click on the Add button
- Once the add-in has been added, you can view a tutorial for the iOMailAssistant under Get Started
- Close the window and select an email in the email account
- Navigate to the 3 dots and click on iOMailAssistant
- Log in with your iOAccount
- You can fix the iOMailAssistant with the pin
- You can activate Auto save via the cogwheel symbol
The setup is complete and you can use the iOMailAssistant for Daylite.
| Important: You must set up the iOMailAssistant individually in each email account in which you want to use it. This also lets you selectively activate automatic linking. |
Usage
How do I use the iOMailAssistant for Daylite with Outlook?
The service Outlook helps you manage your email accounts. Work with different profiles and individual settings and add-ins for each account. To use the integration, you need an iOAccount (see Setup).
To transfer an email from Outlook to Daylite, please proceed as follows:
- Select the corresponding email
- Navigate to the 3 dots and select iOMailAssistant
- Click on In Daylite to transfer the email to Daylite
- The person will be linked based on the email address together with the default company
- Additional objects will be linked automatically or can be added manually
- Alternatively, activate Auto save to automatically link emails when reading and sending them
- You can open the email directly in Daylite or (for example under iOS) in iOWeb
| Note: You cannot open emails linked from Outlook in Daylite using the Show in Mail button. This feature only works if the email was linked with Daylite from within Apple Mail. Regrettably, this behavior is beyond our control. |
Usage on iOS
How do I use iOMailAssistant for Daylite on iOS with Outlook?
Using the iOMailAssistant for Daylite (iOM), you can connect the Outlook email client directly to Daylite. You can also use iOM with Outlook on iOS. If you have set up the integration on a device, you can transfer emails from Outlook on iOS directly to Daylite or open objects from within Outlook in Daylite.
| Important: Make sure that all relevant email accounts synchronize with the Microsoft Cloud. Microsoft only offers add-ins such as iOMailAssistant for accounts that synchronize emails directly with the Microsoft Cloud. Unfortunately, we can only offer limited support because of the complex and varied configuration options of the Microsoft environment. |
- Open the Outlook app on your iPhone or iPad
- Open a mail
- Navigate to the 3 dots
- Transfer the email directly to Daylite and link all relevant objects
- Open the linked objects directly in iOWeb if you are working on your iPhone or iPad
| Note: The iOMailAssistant is not available for internal Outlook system messages. |
File attachments
How do I add file attachments using the iOMailAssistant for Daylite in Outlook?
To save file attachments from Outlook on iOS and macOS in Daylite, the iOMailAssistant for Daylite must be set up (see Setup). The file attachments must also be added manually, as they are not automatically linked with the other Daylite objects.
- Select the email with the attachment
- Navigate to the left sidebar
- Click on the displayed attachment
- If the mail is already linked, you can transfer all file attachments to Daylite with one click using the Add all button
- Use the Show small button to also display very small attachments
- The iOMailAssistant for Daylite uploads the attachment to Daylite
- You can now open the attachment in Daylite and find it using the global search
| Note: ICS files can currently only be transferred on macOS, as the DayliteDocs plugin is required for this format. |
