Comparing mail programs
The issue regarding which email program to use can be very complex. It is currently possible to integrate 3 email programs directly with Daylite. There is also the option of using Mail in Daylite with early access. By default, it is possible to connect Apple Mail to Daylite via the Daylite Mail Assistant. With our iOMailAssistant for Daylite it is also possible to use the two mail programs Missive and Outlook directly with Daylite.

Usage
Assigning permissions
For technical reasons, it is currently not possible to set permissions directly within the iOMailAssistant. However, we offer a solution for Plus Package customers. With this solution, the permission private or the permission from the default settings in Daylite is defined via a keyword on the email in iOMailAssistant. In Daylite, a script within the ProductivityTools automatically sets the appropriate permission. Since the script updates the permissions at intervals of 5 minutes, the email can be viewed in the database for a short time with the permission public.
If you are interested in this solution, you are welcome to make an appointment with our consulting team via this link.
Accepting appointment invitations
If you receive an appointment invitation, you cannot accept or decline it directly in iOMailAssistant. The file must first be imported into Daylite. To do so, the plugin DayliteDocs needs to be installed. To accept an appointment invitation, please follow these steps:
- Click on the ICS file in the iOMailAssistant to import it to Daylite via DayliteDocs
- Select a category and click on the Apply button
- The Last import list opens
- Click on Accept or Decline in the appointment
- The reply will be sent automatically via your default mail program
