In this article you will learn how to adjust the permissions of your emails in Daylite so that not every user can see them.
To adjust the permissions in Daylite, access rights must be activated. Access rights are a very complex topic, if you need help or have questions regarding this topic, we are happy to help you within the scope of a consulting appointment.
Generally speaking, there are two ways of adjusting permissions for your emails.
Case 1: Set permissions on individual emails after receiving them
To adjust the permissions forone e-mail you only need to change the access right for this mail in the Daylite Mail Assistant. Proceed as follows:
- Link the email to Daylite
- In Other, select the icon to the right of the lock
- Now select the desired access permission
Case 2: change permissions for all new emails
You can adjust the permissions for new e-mails in Daylite as follows:
As Daylite user with administrator or superuser access
- Open Daylite
- Navigate to Daylite -> Preferences -> Default Values
- On the left side, select the user for whom you want to change the setting. Alternatively, use Global to change the setting for each user.
- Go to the Emails tab and check the box at Permission
- Select the default access permissions to be assigned to this user
As a Daylite user with normal access:
- Open Daylite
- Navigate to Daylite -> Preferences -> Default Values
- Go to the Emails tab and check the box at Permissions
- Select the access permissions to be assigned by default
