Daylite offers two apps, Daylite and Daylite Legacy. The Daylite app is solely for Daylite Cloud users while Daylite Legacy is only compatible if you use your own server. When you log into your database for the first time, a local copy of the database will be downloaded onto your device enabling you to use Daylite offline. Daylite will then sync when you connect to your server the next time.
Please be aware of the system requirements for Daylite.
Daylite Cloud
With Daylite Cloud you can log into your database from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection. No local Daylite configuration or network setup issues!
Follow these steps to log in:
- Establish an internet connection
- Open Daylite on your Mac, iPhone or iPad
- Enter your email address and password
- Click on Log In
The time it takes to download your database depends on its size and the network speed. For iPhone and iPad users we recommend to download when connected to a Wi-Fi network to avoid charges from your wireless carrier.
Do not quit the app or interrupt the network connection while Daylite is downloading the database.
Daylite Legacy (with a local server)
By default you can log into your Daylite self-service-database on the same network as your server. It's possible to configure your network so that the database is also available over the internet.

It's recommended to log into the database while being on the same network as your Daylite server. This makes sure you have the possible download speed when loading a local database copy.
