There are different possible reasons why the Daylite Mail Assistant (DMA) is not displayed in Apple Mail. It could be hidden, uninstalled or deactivated.
If the Daylite Mail Assistant is hidden
The Daylite Mail Assistant can be hidden in Apple Mail, for example if a user needs the maximum amount of available screen estate. Follow these steps to display the Daylite Mail Assistant in Apple Mail:
- Open Apple Mail
- In the menu bar navigate to View -> Show Daylite Assistant
If there is no option to show the Daylite Assistant it might be uninstalled or it's deactivated
(more common on macOS 10.14 Mojave and later).
If the Daylite Mail Assistant is uninstalled or deactivated
Follow these steps to install the Daylite Mail Assistant again:
- Quit Daylite and Apple Mail
- Download the latest version of Daylite with DMA and install it
- Open Daylite and Apple Mail
To activate the Daylite Mail Assistant in macOS 10.14 Mojave, please follow these instructions.
If you receive an error message during the installation process that Daylite Mail Assistant isn't compatible with your version of Apple Mail, please check if Daylite is compatible with the installed version of macOS.
