Whether a file stored in Daylite can be edited depends on how this file is stored in Daylite.
- If the file is saved as a copy in Daylite, the file cannot be edited.
- If the file is stored in Daylite as a reference, the file is visible in Daylite, but not physically stored in the Daylite database. Therefore it can be edited at the file's actual location. For example, a referenced file can be stored in a shared folder on a file server or Dropbox.
In general, files can be stored in Daylite and linked to persons, companies, projects or opportunities via a note.
