This article covers the different user access levels (user types) in Daylite and their settings in the app.
In Daylite the Users Access setting allows you to adjust the access of the different users. In the Daylite Preferences please navigate to Users & Teams. In order to get into this part of the Settings you need to have Superuser or Administrator access.
User Types
Superuser
The Superuser has access to all settings and objects in Daylite. A Superuser can enable Superuser-Access to review details of appointments with private only access rights. Private appointments are displayed with a blocker if Superuser-Access isn't activated.
Administrator
Like the Superuser the Administrator has access to all settings and objects in Daylite. Unlike the Superuser however, Administrators cannot see appointment details that need private access rights. Private appointments are presented with a blocker.
Normal Access
Users with the access Normal Access can access all objects except for appointments with private access rights. They cannot change any settings. Superusers and Administrators can use the Advanced section to adjust certain settings for the user type. As an example, they can determine wether or not the user can delete objects or change settings.
Limited Access
Users with Limited Access rights can only see Daylite data of which the user is the owner. This user type is not meant for day-to-day business tasks in Daylite. It might be a useful role to assign to interns who shouldn't see all data sets.
