This article covers the different user access levels (user types) in Daylite and how they differ from another.
The user access can be managed by Superuser and Administrator in the Daylite Settings under Users & Teams -> Users.
User Types
Superuser
The Superuser has access to all settings in Daylite. While even for a Superuser the permissions set for a particular data set apply, a Superuser can temporarily activate Superuser Access in order to override permissions. While Superuser Access is active, a Superuser has, for example, access to data sets that another user has set as private.
Administrator
Like the Superuser the Administrator has access to all settings Daylite. Unlike the Superuser, however, an Administrators cannot temporarily override data set permissions. Therefore an Administrator always adheres to the underlying permissions of a data set.
Normal Access
Users with the Normal Access can access all objects according to their granted permissions. They have access to the Daylite settings except Users & Teams and Permissions. Via the Advanced button Superuser and Administrators can restrict a normal user's access options like deleting items or exporting information.
Limited Access
Users with Limited Access rights can only see Daylite data sets they are the owner of. This user type is not suited for day-to-day business tasks in Daylite. It might be a useful role to assign to interns whose sole task is data entry.
