If you've ever had to reset a forgotten password, you're certainly not the only one. According to a recent study, many people create and manage up to 100 passwords. With so many passwords, it's no wonder that you can forget one or two. That's the reason why Passkeys exists. Passkeys is the new industry standard for securely logging into your applications and websites without using a password.
Daylite introduced Passkeys to give you an easy and secure way to log in. Passkeys are stored in Apple's iCloud keychain, so they are securely available on all your Apple devices.
There are two system requirements for using Passkeys:
Please update your Apple device to iOS 16 or macOS 13 Ventura.
Please enable two-factor authentication.

Adding a Passkey
To add a passkey to your Daylite account, open Safari on a device signed in with your Apple ID and enable iCloud Keychain. You can add a passkey using these steps:
1. Log in to Account Manager.
2. Switch to the tab My Info.
3. Passkeys requires you to enable two-factor authentication. This ensures the security of your account and provides an alternative login method that uses your password and confirmation code.
4. Once two-factor authentication is enabled, you will see Passkeys as an additional option under Security. Click Add a Passkey.
5. You will be prompted to save a passkey to Apple's cloud keychain by first verifying your identity with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device password.
6. Passkeys has now been enabled on all your Apple devices.
Using a Passkey to log in
To log in to your device with Passkeys, you need to be logged in to your Apple ID and have iCloud Keychain enabled.
Log in on a Mac:
Open Daylite and click the email field in the login view. Then select the suggested account in the auto-fill menu that appears.
With iPad and iPhone:
Open Daylite and click the email field in the login view. Then select the suggested account above the keyboard.
Using Account Manager:
Open Safari to log in to the Account Manager and click the email field. Then select the suggested account from the auto-fill menu that appears.
Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your identity using Face ID, Touch ID, or the device password. You are now signed in to your account with your Passkey.
Disabling Passkeys
1. Log in to Account Manager and switch to My Info.
2. Please click Disable in the Passkey section.
3.Confirm by clicking Disable in the message that appears.
Please remove the invalidated passkeys from your iCloud keychain manually. They cannot be reactivated, but they can be replaced with new passkeys.
