Merge Keys for forms
You can make your own merge keys for form fields since they can be anything the user sets as a form field within a form.
The merge keys for a form field are structured as such,
<$rightNow.preferredDateFormat$>
If, for example, you have a form field named, Hair Color, the merge key would be, <$form.Hair Color$>
Date formats
Chose amongst these options for the preferred format:
- preferredDateFormat
- preferredMediumDateFormat
- preferredLongDateFormat
- preferredLongDateTimeFormat
- preferredTimeFormat
- preferredDateTimeFormat
Sending external letter templates
After saving your letter template in another application with the merge letters described above you can send merge letters to people in Daylite with the steps below:
- Select the person you wish to send the your letter to, or make the letter about
- Click Edit > Merge > Merge from another application
- Select the application you saved your template
- Next to Template select where your saved your template
- Next to Save in select where to save your merged letter
- Add a file name and Subject
- Choose to either send as Email, to Print or open in the Daylite editor for more changes
