This article covers the Daylite-sync via CardDAV and CalDAV with Apple devices.
When the Contacts app and Calendar app in macOS, iOS or iPadOS communicate with Daylite via CardDAV and CalDAV, Daylite changes don't sync immediately. The will be displayed when these apps load new data from the Daylite server.
As an example, Daylite doesn't know when the Apple Contacts app will load the data of the Daylite server. An immediate transmission isn't possible.
If you want to troubleshoot further, you might find the following notes helpful:
- iOS and iPadOS
- Is there an active internet connection?
- Are there network-specific restrictions?
- Is background app refresh on? (Settings app -> General -> Background App Refresh)
- Is it on for both Wifi and Cellular data?
- What time is the sync interval set to? (Settings app -> Passwords & Accounts -> Fetch New Data -> [your CardDAV account])
- macOS
- Is there an active internet connection?
- Are there network-specific restrictions?
- Is the Mac running the server application configured to go to sleep often and cannot hence sync (Legacy)?
